Me Made May 2015 Pledge

It's that time of year again! Me-Made-May! The brain child of Zoe from So, Zo... What Do You Know?, Me-Made-May is a challenge designed to encourage people who sew, knit, crochet, refashion or upcycle garments for themselves to actually wear and love them.

I participated for the first time last year and had a lot of fun. Since then, my sewing has come a long way and I've been pretty prolific. At this point, it's rare for me to not to wear at least one article of handmade clothing each day, so I am altering my pledge slightly this year to up the game and try to find ways to wear more than one piece of me-made clothing each day. Not committing to 2 a day every day because I don't think it's always possible, but at least a couple times per week I'd like to wear more than one.

Also, my challenge for May will be to mend or alter some of the garments I've made over the past few years to make them wearable. I hate mending/altering, but I have a pile of me-mades that I never wear because they need a tweak. Examples: my Wenona needs taking in at the waist, my Staple dress needs something (maybe I'll cut it off into a top or just remove the pockets), I never wear this Meghan dress because it is kinda dowdy, but I am thinking it could work as a top.

I, Meg of Cookin' and Craftin', will participate in Me-Made-May 2015. I endeavor to wear at least one me-made garment each day for the duration of May, 2015 and will mend or alter at least five me-made garments to make them wearable.
