Ice Dyed Cielo for Mom

Can we discuss how hot my mom looks in this outfit/these photos/in general?

I had so much fun with my ice dyeing adventures (here and here), so I decided to do some ice dying with my mom when she came to visit after she was fully vaxxed.

We ice-dyed a small piece of PFD Essex cotton/linen with some of the blue and green Procion dyes I used for my previous ice dye project

I think for this project we eliminated one of colors, the darker blue, but I didn't take great notes and can't quite remember which one we left off. In any case, we ended up with this lovely green and turquoise fabric!

I love how the fabric matches the spring green in the trees and the beautiful blue of the sky!

I also love how it has some very bright, saturated spots, and some lighter, washed out areas. Ice dyeing is so much fun.

The yardage we dyed was the perfect fit for a Closet Core Patterns Cielo Top, a pattern I knew worked for my mom since I had made her one last summer.

I cut a size 10 graded to a 12 at the hip for her, which worked well, again.

She paired her Cielo with some jeans she made herself. I think they're maybe the Style Arc Margaret pattern in stretch denim?

Then she gave me some smokin' poses. So good.
