Two crisp button-up shirts for Worktober!
I've made several button-ups for myself in recent years that I wear a ton. Mostly the oversized Jenna Shirt. But I needed a few more fitted, more formal button-up shirts for work.
I really liked the Cashmerette Vernon shirt I made a few years back; great fit.
I also made a classic white oxford cloth version of the Vernon that I never officially shared here, but it's been a workhorse of a shirt.
I cut two versions of the Vernon from fabrics in my stash:
One from a pretty lavender cotton shirting I got from my local secondhand craft supply shop, The Makery:
And one from a crisp cotton shirting I bought when I lived in Bangkok, in what I think of as sort of a '70s looking neck-tie print on a maroon background.
Both are size 20 C/D Vernon Shirts, both View A (a traditional collar and collar stand), but with the wider cuffs from View B.
I love how they turned out! They will be perfect for work, by themselves or layered under a Clove vest, a blazer, or a cardigan.
