A fun project just in time for Ankara Appreciation Week, hosted by Lena King and Juliet Uzor.
This is the Muna and Broad Pyrmont skirt, a midi length skirt with relaxed inverted box pleats on the front, a flat front waistband and a comfortable elastic back.
I love the elegant pleats in the front and the comfort of the elastic back waist.
I cut a size D, which worked great.
The fabric is a piece of wax print fabric Tim brought me back from a work trip to Dar Es Salaam. I love the colors and the geometric design.
I had exactly enough of the fabric for the Pyrmont Skirt, which is cut on the cross grain. I didn't have enough to pattern match on the side seams, but I think that's ok.
I'm pretty smitten with my Pyrmont skirt! I've worn it a couple of times and it's so comfy, and feels stylish paired with my Seamwork Bo top and Soul Simone jewels.
