Caramel Twill Eileen Barrel Pants

So nice I made them twice!

After wearing my railroad denim version of the Muna and Broad Eileen Barrel Pants and loving them, I immediately cut another pair.

Same size as last time, size D. The pattern comes in sizes A-M, which corresponds to a 41.5"-71.5" hip.

I had recently purchased the perfect fabric for the Eileen pattern from my local shop, Stash. It's a cotton twill, in an excellent weight for these pants: 6.5oz.

The medium weight fabric perfectly holds the pattern's curved, barrel shaped leg (more so than the last fabric I used), but is not so heavy that it's too bulky for the elastic waist.

The deep caramel color of the fabric is pretty stunning, too. So rich! And a lovely sheen.

As I was sewing these Eileen Barrel Pants, I was getting a little bit of a fancy Carhartt feeling, so I decided to do some extra rows of topstitching on the pockets, hems, and down the side and inseams, for a little hint of a workwear feel.

I also included the faux fly this time, unlike my last pair, and I did a double row of topstitching for that, too, as well as a decorative bar tack.

A little visible tag ("You can't buy this") on my back pocket. The fabric color isn't right in this photo, but you get the idea:

Pretty chuffed with these! Feeling stylish.

Things that also make me feel super stylish: wearing my shirt inside out like I accidentally did in these photos.
