Noodlehead Gathered Clutch
I'm not normally a bag or pouch maker- I've made a couple in my life, but just haven't been bitten by the bag bug. But I wanted to sew a gift for my coworker, and bags/pouches are the best one-size-fits-all, everybody needs 'em kind of gift.

Quilted Crafting Bag
The Real Martha made me this cool bag (using the Sebago tote pattern from Aunties Two) to transport my ever-expanding collection of crafting paraphernalia. I think I'll use it for my crochet/knitting gear... lots of pockets for needles, tape measures and stitch markers, big enough to hold a couple large skeins of yarn as well as the project itself.
Apparently Martha and Deb (who, judging by her praise this past weekend, may be this blog's biggest fan. Hi, Deb!) have been making these bags in all different sizes for friends and family. Martha says it's super easy, as you start with pre-quilted fabric that is double-faced, which eliminates the need to sew a lining.

Solo Sewing Project*
Made this cool Amy Butler shoulder bag (called a "birdie sling" for unknown reasons) for Jamie for her birthday (and can finally post a photo of it now that she's opened her present!). It's not perfect, but for my first solo sewing project, it's decent, I think. The project directions were very clear and came with a glossary of sewing terms that I find other patterns are lacking.
* Now with more bunnies! See the bag's lining to understand why this bag is made for Jamie Lee.
