Another premature project...
Far to chilly for this dress right now here in Vermont (it was about 30 degrees out when I took these photos), but I can imagine (hope?) for a time in the near future where I can wear this lovely linen number to the farmers market or out for drinks.

The pattern I used is the Style Arc Palmer shirtdress. It's a simple, short-sleeved shirtdress with side splits, drop shoulders, turnback cuffs, small shoulder yokes, and a waist tie.
The Palmer pattern doesn't have much shaping. It’s a super simple style, and just what I have been wanting from a shirtdress.
It is interesting how the front hem is curved, and the back hem is squared off.
The fabric for my Palmer is the Blackbird Fabrics Everyday Linen in Kale, which is lovely to work with- super soft to wear and easy to sew.
Blackbird Fabrics sent me a small gift certificate for sharing my BF Taylor Trousers in their newsletter, and then I spent way more than the gift certificate to buy this linen! They got me. At least it was pre-tariffs.
I finished my dress with tan mottled buttons from Wawak from my stash. I actually had perfectly matching green buttons in my stash, but the contrast from the tan looked better to break up the solid color.
Pretty delighted with this dress- fun and easy to sew, fun and easy to wear!
