After my first pair of Reya pants went so swimmingly, I went ahead and cut another pair, inspired by the athleisure/loungewear versions of the Reya pants that Gabriela and Nicole made.
I chose an Arietta Ponte which I've had in my own stash for several years now, originally purchased at Stash in December of 2021. The colorway is burgundy and is very rich looking.
The Chalk and Notch Reya is a wide-leg pants and shorts pattern with a front pin tuck detail, elastic waist and both high-rise and mid-rise options.
I chose the size 20 pants in the higher rise, which fit great- looser than my last pair in a knit, of course.
The Reya pattern comes with four different inseam cutting lines. My last pair I used a 29 inch inseam, but these lounge-y Reyas will only be worn with flats like sneakers, I went with a 28 inch inseam.
I skipped all the pockets this time, and did include a drawstring, but on the inside of the waistband so it's internal. I felt the pants needed the drawstring since the fabric is quite weighty, but I didn't want it to show on the outside.
I really love these Reya pants! They are incredibly comfy, but look really elevated and sleek. Not like sweatpants at all, but more of a trouser feel.
