I've finished 2 rows and started pinning in the in-between row to get a better sense of the big picture. This quilt is going to take forever, but it's going to be pretty cool when it's done!
This is the basic bread recipe from Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day. It's really easy and really good (especially warm). Next time I make it, I think I'll shape it into a baguette form. The recipe also makes pita, just cooked in a slightly different way. That's on my list, too.
My CSA this week included watermelon and Spanish black radishes, which I've never had before, and which, frankly, scared me a little bit.
But I found this recipe for Herbed Goat Cheese Spread with Radishes on Toast that looked tasty and used herbs I had in my Aerogarden, so I thought I'd give it a try. I made one small change- adding some minced shallots- since I didn't have a ton of chives. Awesome. Delicious.
The cats took turns sitting/laying on this box for 24 hours.

Tapped 21 holes this weekend . . .bout 10 more waiting in the wings. Going to stagger them throught the season to make sure the saps remains flowing. First boil this weekend, but it'll be a small one.
Check out the Aerogarden! The basil was much taller yesterday, but Tim pruned it and used the leaves in some stuffed shells. The dill is outta control! Dill dip time.
This is the new fabric I got for the cathedral windows quilt that I'm making. This fabric will comprise the even-numbered rows of the quilt... I'm still trying to figure out how to take a photo of the (odd-numbered) row I've sewed so far. It's really long (the width of a king-sized quilt). Photos hopefully coming soon!
Meg forced me to cook tonight, and I made this "delish" meal from Rachael Ray. Pretty tasty... but if you don't like balsamic vinegar, stay away, because it's in all 3 parts of the meal.
If you want to ruin your self-confidence, watch scrambled porn, make a racist joke, clog your arteries, or read the obituaries, get a WTF Blanket!
If you're Chuckie, buy some fleece at the ghetto fabric store and cobble together your own Snuggies! Available in blueberry, mint, and Steelers flavors.
Baked this baby last night as part of my new baking adventure. The recipe is from this book, which I bought after reading rave internet reviews of its magically simple bread-making techniques. So far the raves seem to be pretty accurate. This bread is super easy and very tasty. My next plan is to make Pecan Sticky Buns with the remaining challah dough. Mmm... sticky buns...
