Just in time for Me-Made-May, I've made myself a new skirt! I noticed last year that my me-made wardrobe was mostly tops and dresses, sorely in need of pants and skirts. I've failed to make a significant dent on the pants front (with the exception of my Ginger jeans and a couple Hudsons), but have made progress in the skirt department. Add this one to the list.

Playhouse Dress x 2
My younger niece is turning 2 years old very soon, so I thought I would sew something up for her. But then, once I got started on her gift, I decided it made sense to make something for her older sister, too. Assembly line sewing is efficient, but man, it's tiring!

It's that time of year again! Me-Made-May! The brain child of Zoe from So, Zo... What Do You Know?, Me-Made-May is a challenge designed to encourage people who sew, knit, crochet, refashion or upcycle garments for themselves to actually wear and love them.

Batik Ilsley Skirt
I've been so enamored with my Maya tops, when Marilla Walker offered up her Ilsley Skirt pattern, I pounced on it. Such a cute basic skirt, plus, it's free!

Pattern Testing: True Bias Southport Dress
Hey y'all! I'm back after a week of not sewing... good news is, although I was not sewing, I was having a pretty amazing time scuba diving in Koh Tao, an island in southern Thailand. While diving, we saw a whale shark in the wild!! It swam right up to us and I just about died of excitement.
But I didn't actually die, so I'm back to tell you that in between dives, I was wearing and loving this little number, my tester version of the True Bias Southport Dress:

Lisette Cut-out Dress: Butterick 6168
Wow, I was in love with this Lisette dress, Butterick 6168, the second I saw it! Those pleats: yes. That v-neck/cross-over bodice: yes. The cut-out: maybe. I was intrigued...
