I'm on a roll with the yarn arts these days!

Trainers French Terry Fleece Toaster Sweater

Whew! Back after a bout of COVID that kicked my butt. I sewed this project and took these photos before I had it, or at least before I knew I had it...

Knitting: Grace Pullover in Puffin

I knit a sweater!

More specifically, I finally finished a sweater I have been knitting since August of 2020. Oops!

Tauko Magazine Ramona Blouse

I told you I was down a gathering rabbit hole with my latest projects. First the Aims blouse, now bringing the volume and gathers and ruffle drama today with this project!

Seamwork Aims in Tencel Twill

This pattern set off a series of unusual sewing projects for me: all the gathers! so many gathers! too many gathers?!

Corduroy Shoalhaven Shacket

I've had the Muna and Broad Shoalhaven Shacket traced in my size and ready to cut out for months... almost a year, in fact, since I traced it while we were still living in our old apartment.

Moving and home repairs, etc., kept me from it last winter, and then it was warmer weather and my mind was on summer sewing.

Autumn Plaid Flannel Tarawi Shirt

This shirtmaking project is very much autumn inspired... the colors, the style, the plaid, the flannel.

It's still hot and humid out, but winter is coming and I'm onto the next season (although I reserve the right to randomly pop up with one more summer dress or boxy top; that's how my creative process works).

Ice Dyed Double Gauze Quince

Every year for the past few years I go on a fabric dyeing bender and dye a bunch of yardage. These past few years it's been ice dyeing. I've really been honing my technique!

Jackson T-shirts for Camping

One of my favorite things to do with my nieces is to go camping, and they seem to look forward to it, too.

From Sketch to Reality: Fiona Top

I asked my niece, who's turning 11, what she wanted for her birthday, and she sweet-talked me into bringing a garment idea of hers into reality... "Auntie Meg, you're so good at sewing..."

Citrus Linen Harper Tunic

Last fall, when I heard that a garment fabric shop, Stash, was opening up locally, I immediately went ahead and made a purchase to support the shop, even though I was trying to reduce my fabric consumption (sort of very loosely participating in Jacinta's Whole 30 Fabric Challenge- mostly just trying to sew more than I bring in).

Jackson Tee Four Ways

It's feeling spring-y here in Vermont, finally, so I'm thinking about summer sewing. And summer sewing means t-shirts...

Paisley Cashmerette Vernon Shirt

Last week I said to myself, "Meg, you need a new white buttonup shirt. A classic, simple, white buttonup. The one you made a few years back is a little snug and a little stained."

Charlotte Emma Clove Vests

I love it when I am yearning to make a particular item and a pattern designer releases a pattern for exactly what I had in mind!

#BHMPatternDesigners: Style Sew Me Tiana

Every winter I get impatient for warmer weather and make a summer top even though there are several months until I can wear one...

Magenta Cowl Neck Tobin Sweater

Sweatah weathah is basically 8 months per year in Vermont, but we are currently deep in full body sweater every time you open your door, and even when the door is shut season.
