My niece had a request for a sewing project: an ancient Greek dress. And you know I like to indulge her requests (see this velvet and sequined cloak and this harlequin dress based on one of her drawings.)
One of her more recent special interests is Greek mythology... I think her entry point was the musical Epic. At a recent family camping trip she regaled us with tales of the labors of Hercules and the journey of Odysseus. She's particularly fascinated by the concept of sirens.
This past Me-Made-May I noticed that I was wearing my Closet Core Patterns Jenna shirt constantly. By itself, as a layer... I reached (reach!) for it regularly.
POV: you're my neighbor and you catch me wandering in my garden in my pajamas with a coffee, checking on the incremental progress of my cucumbers, harvesting a handful of cherry tomatoes and spying on the sleepy, pollen-drunk bees in the squash blossoms.
A coat! And it's still winter!
I'm so happy to have finished this while I can still wear it.

Ok, another project from the WIP pile! I got started on this project back in the fall, and then... it sat there. Thank you to #SewFancyPants2023 and the #JFFIChallenge2023 for the inspiration to just f*cking finish these pants!
