Agnes Sweater Vest

Such a fun project combining crochet and knitting for a very hobbitcore look!

This is my pattern tester version of the Bethany Lynn Agnes Sweater Vest. Bethany had released a free tutorial for one size version of the Agnes Sweater Vest a few years back, but recently upgraded the pattern to have 9 different size options with detailed written instructions

The Agnes Sweater Vest pattern goes up to size 5XL, with a 62.5 inch finished bust measurement.

The Agnes Sweater Vest is comprised of crochet granny squares, and was designed with oversized armholes and a slightly cropped length in order to layer easily over tops and dresses.

It has ribbing at the collar, armholes and hem made by picking up stitches and knitting in the round.

My Agnes Sweater Vest is a size 3XL

The yarn is all Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Worsted, a Peruvian highland wool. I used a very autumnal color palette of Rooibos Heather, Amber Heather, Cilantro Heather and Forest Heather for a hobbitcore look.

My ribbing is a little bit loose and wobbly, as you can see. I understand other testers experienced this, too- Bethany suggested picking up fewer stitches or going down a needle size.

I may go back in the future to re-do the ribbing so it's tighter and less wavy!

Bethany has lots of tutorials to help along the way on her website.

I really love this vest! It was a fun project and I think it looks great on.

Worn here over my Closet Core Jenna Shirt. I love how the little side splits align!
