Avowed pattern repeater here...
This is my basically annual Sew House Seven Toaster Sweater. Once the temperatures drop, this is one of my go-to patterns; I've made so, so many over the years!
This is the Toaster Sweater #1,the version with raglan sleeves, a wide waistband, a loose turtleneck, and long cuffs.
I cut the size 20 from the curvy range. The pattern goes up to a 61.5" bust and 64" hip.
The fabric is boiled wool blend in a rich maroon color. It's been marinating in my stash for years, maybe since pre-Covid? I originally purchased it in Montreal, but I think it's the same wool/rayon blend that my local shop, Stash, has in several gorgeous colors.
The fabric works perfectly with the Toaster Sweater pattern, which requires a mid- to heavyweight fabric with with at least 20% horizontal stretch. This fabric has 30% stretch.
I love the texture of the boiled wool! Such a cozy nubbiness.
I didn't finish any of my seam allowances, but did a lot of topstitching to tack the seams down.
Pretty happy with this Toaster! It's sure to get lots of wear this winter!
