Leaning really hard into this ocean-creature themed crafting.
Crochet fish bags, a quilted fish bag, and now a lobster shirt? It's almost too much. And simultaneously never enough.
This shirt was inspired by this gorgeous fabric from LA Finch Fabrics: a designer deadstock, 100% linen fabric in a gorgeous royal blue graphic lobster print.
I saw and knew it would be perfect for Tim and the Cape Cod trip we took earlier this month.
I went with my tried-and-true pattern for him, McCall's 6044.
I was worried about trying to pattern match - the fabric design can make you go cross-eyed if you look too long - so I cut some pieces (pocket, button placket, collar, etc.) on the cross-grain and some on the bias.
It looks sharp and I think he likes it! He's already worn it a couple of times.
