This summery knitting project is probably a bit premature considering how Vermont spring has been shaping up... snow and sub-freezing temperatures.
This warm weather sweater is the Tolsta Tee by Rebecca Clow, a top down raglan tee knitting pattern, with instructions for both DK and fingering weight yarn.
The pattern is pretty size-inclusive - goes up to a 67" bust and there are B-, D- and F-cup options.
I knit a size 7, which worked out great. The pattern comes with optional bust shaping. I followed the D-cup pattern.
This was my first time doing darts in a knit. This pattern includes vertical darts, which I hadn't realized are just decreases. The decreases remove the extra stitches added for the front in the front raglans.
The yarn is Zara Chiné from Filatura Di Crosa, a lightly heathered DK weight superwash merino that I got secondhand at The Makery.
Super soft, in a pretty, springy lavender color.
Because of the amount of yarn I had, I ended up cropping the Tolsta Tee a bit more than the pattern calls for. But I like the cropped length- it's perfect for pairing with a high waisted skirt or pants.
Paired here with my Melinda Midi Skirt.
I wet blocked the tee, and could tell when I laid it out on my blocking mats that it had grown significantly, as superwash wool tends to do. I ended up tossing it in the dryer, which worked well to shrink it back up.
Cute and springy! Bring on the warm weather!
