Peacock Wenona Shirt

So this is definitely not selfish sewing, but I promise this was made long before Selfish Sewing Week...

This is a Named Patterns Wenona blouse that I made for my sister. I actually made it before I made my Wenona, but sending it off to the other side of the world and waiting for photos in return takes a while:

Batik Maya

After a couple of wadders (a Victory Patterns Roxanne made from nightmarishly slippery and shreddy fabric turned out too tight across the shoulders, a Workroom Social Tate top had irredeemably low armholes), I needed a refreshing, simple make. Bonus points for being able to use stash fabric.

Paprika Jade Skirt in Ponte

A while back, Paprika Patterns put out an open call for pattern testers and I signed up, having admired their Jade skirt pattern for months. Sadly for me, at that time, the pattern did not come in my size. But lo and behold, since then Paprika Patterns has expanded their sizes! Woo woo! They wanted reviewers* of the new expanded size range for Jade, so here I am!

Colorblocked Wenona Shirt

Alrighty, folks. I'm back! I've actually been doing lots of unselfish sewing of late, but haven't blogged about those makes because I have to send the final products around the world to the recipients and then wait for photos in return. So, coming soon(ish) on those.

But in the meantime, my most recent make is for myself. And I've got mixed things to say about it.

Linen-y Hollyburn

Digging my way through my pattern stash: here's Hollyburn!

You might have seen a sneak peek of her paired with my Muse Patterns Jenna cardigan earlier this week...

Muse Patterns Jenna Cardigan

Back in action after almost 3 weeks away from my sewing machine! I can't complain, though, as I was traveling to some pretty cool places (Krabi and Chiang Rai, Thailand and Luang Prabang, Laos) and doing some pretty cool things (island hopping, silk weaving, cooking classes...)!
