This pattern is pretty great. It's not just a t-shirt pattern; it has an insane amount of options.
In addition to Cashmerette's signature three cup sizes, the Concord has three hem lengths (cropped, mid or long with a curved and split hem), three necklines (high, V neck, or scoop), three sleeve lengths (short, medium, or long), two sleeve finishes (cuffed or hemmed), and optional sleeve tabs. Phew.
For my tester version, I went with a pretty basic tee... my version is the C/D cup, scoop neck, medium length, hemmed version.
I looove the neckline and the fit in the body, which I think is fitted but not clingy. I think next time I might give my guns a bit more room by widening and lengthening the sleeves just slightly.

You rock orange! Great fit on the tee too :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!! I'm not typically an orange person, but I love this t-shirt, so maybe I should become one!
DeleteVERY PRETTY!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dara!!
DeleteVERY PRETTY!!
ReplyDeleteYou look awesome in that orange tee! What a cute outfit!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tanya!
DeleteThat colour is amazing on you. I'm loving this Concorde top! I'll add it to my huge list of t-shirt patterns!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Stevie! My theory is that you can never have too many t-shirt patterns!
DeleteDANG. The fit is amazing, Meg! A lot of my me-made t-shirts show signs of needing a FBA, like a little wrinkle around the armpit like it almost wishes it was darted? But I never do it, because OMG, it's an effing t-shirt, people. But a t-shirt made for larger cup sizes? That might be the holy grail for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Inder!! I felt the same way- I could get away with other t-shirts, but the fit on this one is so nice, why would I?
DeleteLooks great and love that color. How did you find the sizing (other than cup?) I was debating about the pattern - seeing yours I just HAD to order both! Thanks for sharing your sources. I am in serious need of solid T shirts in fun colors and white and now you have inspired me to get sewing before it gets too hot.
ReplyDeleteThanks!! I found the sizing chart to be pretty accurate - based on the chart I went with a 14 C/D on top and a 16 at the hip, which was a good fit! Close, but not tight.
DeleteI feel you about needing solid tees- basics are a necessity! Hope you enjoy the pattern!!
Thank you for the review and size details - very helpful! I have an Appleton dress in progress, but was guessing on the size... not far enough along for a fit check yet, limited time for sewing of late.
DeleteGreat colour and a lovely flattering fit.
ReplyDeleteThanks!! Orange isn't typically my color, but I am enjoying this t-shirt!
DeleteI was tempted by the pattern when I saw it released. I'm definitely buying it now! This is my perfect t shirt!
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty great! Hope you enjoy the pattern!
DeleteUmmm...I swear I read and commented on this post! Sometimes google and my laptop loose the comments I think. I love this top - the colour is fantastic!! And the fit looks spot on!
