An autumn Appleton...
I’m so excited to be participating in Sew Your Hart Out September again! You can check out my post here on the Sew Your Hart Out blog...
When Dana shared the Sew Your Hart Out September fabric sponsors and options with me, it may have been 90+ degrees here in Vermont, but I had fall colors and silhouettes firmly on my mind. This gorgeous fall-themed knit from Art Gallery Fabrics immediately struck me.
I thought the jersey would be ideal for a Cashmerette Appleton wrap dress. After my last Appleton I was still on a high on how great it made me feel. How awesomely confidence-inspiring is this pattern that manages to make you feel simultaneously like a boss and sexy as hell?
Fit-wise, I am pretty sure a size 16 C/D Appleton, with 1.5 inches in length added to the skirt, is my ideal size. I didn’t make any changes to the Appleton except to reinforce the waist ties with some interfacing as I described in my last Appleton dress post.
The cotton jersey is a little bit more "sticky" than the rayon jersey I've used for past Appletons, which isn't an issue now when I am wearing it bare-legged, but I imagine I may have to rock a slip when I want to wear it with tights come cooler weather. No big deal, though!

I’m so delighted with this beautiful dress! Thanks so much for having me join the Sew Your Hart Out September fun, Hart’s!
