A birthday gift for my mom... a toasty Sew House Seven Toaster Sweater. Toaster Sweater #1, specifically.
The fabric we picked out together: it's a super fluffy, plaid fleece from Paper City Fabrics, a lovely secondhand fabric/ fabric thrift shop. The fabric had many of my mom's signature colors ("My colors are blush and bashful, Mama!").
I used the same size I had used for her previously, from the old Toaster Sweater S/M/L size range from before it was expanded and made into the newer, numerical sizing format. What can I say, I am lazy about re-tracing a pattern!
We stuck with the size medium at the bust graded to large at the hip, which worked pretty well. We shortened the sleeves about two inches.
Pretty proud about my plaid matching across her right shoulder and between the body and the hem band in the front. Please disregard the rest ;-)
To be fair to me, the fabric print was a bit off grain (if knit fleece has a grain?) and tricky to pattern match.
She really likes it! She's worn it a ton since she received it in late November. A very cozy project.
